The C. A. Geers Piano Co. is happy to announce that we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Falconwood Pinblock. Forty years ago, Mr. C. A. Geers, then superintendent of the Baldwin Piano Co. and owner of his own rebuilding business, developed the Falconwood Pinblock specifications.

The Falconwood pinblock is unique in several ways. First, it is the most dense pinblock available. The density of a Falconwood Pinblock is 1.0. Other pinblocks never exceed .80 density. This means the Falconwood Pinblock is 20% stronger

Second, when boring the Falconwood pinblock, a larger drill bit is used (.272). As a result less wood around the pinblock is harmed when the pins are driven in thus adding years of life to your Falconwood pinblock.

Third, the Falconwood Pinblock is multi-laminated (27 plys). A Multi-laminated pinblock is stronger and more stable than the common 5-ply blocks.

Forth, with the Falconwood Pinblock, you can vary the tuning pin torque by nearly 100 inch pounds just by the way in which you bore the block. This, of course, gives you all the control you need to create a pin torque that is comfortable for you.

Fifth, and most important, the Falconwood Pinblock has been installed in thousands of pianos of all different brands and types, and not one, has ever been returned because the tuning pins failed. Your reputation as a quality rebuilder is never at risk when you use a Falconwood Pinblock.

The duplicated Falconwood Pinblocks will be nearly exact duplications of the sample you send us. This exact duplication will decrease to just minutes the amount of time it takes you to fit the block to the plate .
